My doula journey began years ago when I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the home birth of one of my very close friends. I was in awe of her entire birth experience. I felt empowered just being able to witness this event. I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of facilitating other women being able to have that same type of empowering birth experience regardless of how they choose to deliver.
I am a native of Birmingham, AL and the mother of 2 wonderful children. When I'm not in the delivery room, I spend my time as a Children's Storyteller at the Library.
I currently serve as a DONA trained Labor and Post-Partum Doula. I am also a Certified Lactation Counselor, LaMaze Trained Childbirth Educator, and I hold a Certificate of Aromatherapy.

The birth of a baby represents many things to mothers and families and as a doula I am privileged to be a part of these moments.
I have attended births since 2014 after completing doula training through Doulas of North America (DONA). No matter how many births I attend, each birth is a unique and special moment that leaves me full of awe and draws me deeper into the world of childbirth. I have had the privilege of attending hospital births, natural births, medicated births, and births after still birthdays. I have also completed training as a childbirth educator with Lamaze International. I am currently working to complete exam eligibility requirements for International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
In addition to my role as doula, I am also a wife and mother. I believe that women are entitled to and should have the empowering birth that they desire and I would be honored if I am given the privilege to be a part of that process.
